It baffled Tsuzuramaru why any god would want to wear the form he was supposed to have. It was more baffling that it was Marebito, of course, the subject of children's nightmares because of the tales their parents laced in their mind as bed time stories.
It baffled Tsuzuramaru more why Marebito would want to wear the form he was supposed to have while claiming him, in his fifteen years old body.
Marebito didn't taste quite like anything, but Tsuzuramaru guessed that might be to one of many factors. It could simply be that god didn't taste like anything. It could simply be that they were, after all, in the realm of the dead. It could be entirely because Marebito's kisses were quick and rough and merciless and Tsuzuramaru's head wasn't clear enough to comprehend most things, much less how and why a god was stealing his lips while wearing his body as they lay on the banks of the river of the afterworld. He felt hands over his skin, cold hands on cold skin, tracing the scar across his chest.
“So you know you're mine now,” Marebito's eerie voice answered in slow echoes although Tsuzuramaru didn't remember voicing a question.
Tzuramaru didn't question. Tsuzuramaru tasted Marebito back, cold lips on cold lips and his cold hands on Marebito's cold clothed back.
It still tasted like nothing.
Tsuzuramaru accepted the nothing.
